General workflow at AGROBOCA
The platform has been created to bring producers and consumers directly in contact with the intention of supporting farmers who wish to devote part of the arable area to higher quality agriculture and help them to sell directly to the consumer. More information about the project here.
Mechanics of operation
Producers and some retailers can open their stores on the platform and upload their product catalogs, choosing a free plan or payment plans with premium services.
Registered users can access all the information about the producers and buy their products directly from farm to home.
The AGROBOCA stores are prepared so that each producer can manage his own catalog of products, integrate a transport system and accept online payment through credit cards or Paypal. The intregated systems (payment and delivery) is only available for puchases done in Spain peninsular area.
Producers also have the option of not activating online sales and only receive the order alerts sent to them by Agroboca.
Each purchase is made to a single producer. This implies that each product should be chosen in a store. If you want to buy products in different stores, you have to make a purchase in each store with its corresponding transport.
What happens when a producer has very few products?
In order to solve the problem of a small variety, there are shops. They do not cultivate the land, but they know how to buy and sell products. Offering a good assortment and buying from the producers within the platform should be one of their added value to the stores of this profile. For this reason you will find stores in AGROBOCA that are not producers, but shops that perform this work.
Agroboca Store is a Agroboca page with a weekly selection of fruits and vegetables to promote some articles of the producers of the platform. Only on this page and because each producer can be in a different geographical area, fruits or vegetables are sent in individual boxes with different transports. The same products can be found in the store of each producer to buy directly.
Frequently Asked Questions
How to search and choose products?
From the home page use the search engine and select the fruit or vegetable you need. And click Search.
Choose from the list the product that interests you most and click. You will arrive at the store of the producer or trade that offers that product.
Once you are in the store, you can go loading in your shopping cart the products you want
I do not remember or lost my password
Go to the top right of the website and click on "Login". It will open a page where it says in blue "recover password", click on it and a field will open where include your email. Write it down and click the "Submit" button. Open your email and follow the steps to regenerate your new password.
- Assorted boxes: varied composition of products. For example baskets of different fruits, or different vegetables or mixed fruits and vegetables.
In each product sheet you will find its composition.
Assorted baskets make it easy to order and calculate the transport to the producer because they are of composition, measures and known weight.
- Single-product (by weight or bulk): when the product you are looking for contains only one type. For example, you just want to buy potatoes.
You can choose several products by weight and add them to your shopping cart. As the composition of the order, measures and weight not known in advance, the system will calculate at the end the price of transport according to the weight and the necessary volume most suitable for packaginf and transport.
To be able to pay the products you must be registered.
If you are not, at the time of completing the purchase the system will ask you to register. Follow the steps.
Accepted forms of payment are:
- Credit cards (VISA, Master Card, American Express, ...)
- Order Alert (or order request): Stores withoutonline payment systems
There are vendors who do not wish to receive electronic payments. In this case, at the end of the purchase process, only one order request will be sent with your contact information.
Encourage your producer to activate electronic payment systems to expedite the purchase ; )
Transport and delivery (Spain, peninsula)
When completing the purchase you must indicate your delivery address inside Peninsular Spain Area to calculate the price of the transport.
Orders containing products by weight or (in bulk) do not have a packaging of pre-established measures. The packaging will be prepared by the producer according to the weight and volume of the final order. For this reason it is possible that in some cases the price of transporting an order with products at weight is somewhat more expensive than that of an assortment of the same weight and pre-established measures.
Choose the transportation that best fits your schedule and ends the purchase.
Check the store's Purchase Conditions to know in advance the transportation systems and schedules available to each store.
Once the purchase is complete, you will receive a notice in your email.
In your account, in the orders menu you will find a summary of the order made for its follow-up
Votes are very important
In AGROBOCA we work to give the best information, and for this it is vital to listen to the opinion of the users regarding their experience, buying or selling. Each time a purchase is completed, both parties have the right and duty to value their experience. In this way a seller can know the reputation of a buyer, and a buyer can know the reputation of a seller and the average quality of their products.
To vote the products received, follow the link "Vote" in your order panel.
Lists and favorites
Whenever a producer or product you like, you can add it to your list of favorites so you do not have to look for it in a next purchase.
You can also save completed or half-completed shopping lists, to reuse them at another time or subsequent purchases.
Address lists are so you can save more than one delivery address.
Problems or questions with an order in progress
Remember that AGROBOCA does not buy or sell, it is only the channel through which the vendor sells products to you. If you have any doubts, please contact him directly through his contact page.
What happens if a product is not in good condition?
Value if it is a reason for return, or you can reach an agreement with the producer. Most likely the seller (producer or retailer) will compensate you for the next purchase.
AGROBOCA, understands that the user is entitled to a refund when any of the following circumstances exist:
- The delivery box has serious damages: do not accept it, return it to the carrier.
- The content of the delivery does not correspond to the order: do not accept it, return it to the carrier.
- The quality or appearance of the products do not advise its consumption: do not accept it, return it to the carrier.
For other cases, before returning, call your producer to reach an agreement if possible.
The particular conditions of purchase and return are displayed by each producer in the section of your store Conditions of Purchase. It is recomedended to read them.
Before making a return it is convenient to have all the documents of the order: order, proof of payment, delivery note, photographs of the wrong product or packaging in poor condition.
Report a violation
If you believe that a user has committed a violation and finally want to report it, you can use the form in the section Report a violation. We have previously advised you to carefully review the General Conditions of Use to determine which rules have been infringed.
Do you need a free online shop?
If you are a producer or a user who wants to create a store, go to the Shops and Plans section to review the requirements and features.
With AGROBOCA you can open your own fruit and vegetable store for free.
IMPORTANT. If you are outside of Spain, you only may use Agroboca to create a Basic Shop (with no integrated delivery and payments systems) to receive order alerts to your email contact.
